Groundwater Seepage Analysis in GeoStudio

In this course, you will learn about the modelling techniques of groundwater seepage analysis, using SEEP/W. The course elaborates different methods of defining material properties and boundary conditions. It explains the methods of analysis in case there is a chance of unsaturation of upper layer of soils. In doing so, you can predict the pore water pressure very accurately by using the steady state ground water flow calculation technique utilizing the Finite Element Method. You can perform transient analysis of water flow during a rapid drawdown situation, and you will be able to see the fluctuation of Factor of Safety during the different steps of the time. The demonstration part of the course will clearly show you the details of each method of analysis efficiently. This course will help the user to incorporate a thorough seepage analysis in SEEP/W and use the results in a stability analysis in SLOPE/W.
